First recommended option for a beginner's first motherboard:
RAMPS 1.4 + (x1) IRL3803 MOSFET to have spare for the event of burning that of the hotbed...
PROS (from lazzymonk and cdru):
- Very well documented
- Easy to use
- Modular so if you break one bit, just replace it.
- Available from many places
- Low price
CONS (from ndujar and noobman):
- Potential problem with hotbed's MOSFET: Easily fixable by replacing with an IRL3803
- Possibility of "only" two extruders: Should not be a problem as it is for beginning...two extruders can fulfill many needs and hours of learning...:)
Happy printing! :)
