Anybody have any experience with the TMC2100 Trinamic "silent stepstick (as seen in Thomas's video [www.youtube.com])
I want to use them in a ramps 1.4 board
Heres where i am
they are not simply solder then plug and play ( in a ramps 1.4) as the config pins CFG 1 , 2 & 3 are tri state ( open , GND, VCC)
Also they have 2 diag pins
Pin outs to be found here > [trinamic.com]
So on the one side of the board ( motor connections and power) ive soldered all pins but on the other side only 1 , 7 & 8
And they work . Ive grounded CFG 3 to use the interal reference resistor
From what i've read on the German fourm and in Toms video. the stealth mode doesn't deliver reliable torque for 3D printing ....which make sense.
SO ive got CFG 1 to GND and CFG 2 open which should give 16 steps ( interpolation 256) in spread cycle mode.
Just wondered if anybody out there has any experience with these
