I agree in the fact that the board lacks complete opensource info. :-(
On the other hand it is not fair to state that it is a ramps without the polulu drivers.
Ramps has only 5 stepper drivers while Pibot has 6 stepper drivers.
Ramps has only 2 thermistors and a heatbed controller, Pibot has 3 thermistors and a heatbedcontroller and 2 fancontrollers
The stepperdrivers are indeed separate pcb's, but as far as i can see are the poluludrivers also separate pcb's (no difference here) but the pibot stepperdrivers can drive 4.5A steppers, while the polulus only can handle 2A even the newer polulu drivers can only handle 2.2A.
But maybe i could connect there stepperdrivers to the ramps? If they have indeed the same connections as the polulus, then i could run al the standard opensource software with stronger stepperdrivers. I agree, not completely opensource but i have searched a lot and couldn't find a solution with ramps or another opensource variant which gives me 4.5A stepperdrivers.
