I have the 10 to 6 pin converter and tried both orientations. Im trying to find another programmer to firmware upgrade my existing one and confirm this as source of the error.

You could open the source files for sanguino and also the source files for your programmer, and click on each pin individually and check all pin names/labels, just to make sure how they fit together.
View ArticleCan Motors with Different AMP Draws be Mixed in One Machine?
Sorry, I think this is a very basic question but one I haven't found an answer to yet. I was thinking of using this motor (17HS19-1684S) for all but the extruder on the X carriage. And I thought to...
View ArticleRe: Can Motors with Different AMP Draws be Mixed in One Machine?
Unlike a dc motor, the stepper motor does not "draw" any amount of current it wants. It only receives the current that the driver gives. So that rating is more of a maximum, and the effective current...

Aha! Thank you NoobMan! I'm getting it. I have not bought the motors yet so I looked for different ones. I found a larger and a smaller motor from the same company both rated 1.68A Larger Motor -...
View ArticleRe: Can Motors with Different AMP Draws be Mixed in One Machine?
Yes those motors are the correct type (high current low inductance). Other than that, the X and Y motors should be same model. Also if its a machine with dual Z motors, then those should match to each...

Great information - thank you! The machine is in the design stage and I'm not yet able to make the final weight calculations for the X and Y axes. I am trying to balance their weights as much as...

Is the EPCOS thermistor listed here in the wiki correct? I've just received my RS orders and it seems like they are way too small. I had a look at the datasheet before I ordered which says its 0.8mm...

1. There is no "the community" doing such decisions. :) 2. If the hole prepared for the thermistor is to big, it's your heater block at fault, not the thermistor. The smaller a thermistor, the faster...

Any board manufacturers going to develop this? I would think a good design like this should be promoted by those who understand it with encouraging emails to capable manufacturers.
