Re: RAMPS for Due!
The LM339 is rated to 36V, but that doesn't really matter since you'd run it off the FET gate voltage source (8-12 V per the disucssions above), and anything over 20V Vgs is going to kill most FETs...

I would like to introduce our new electronic for 3D printers based on 32 bit ARM. At now we are waiting for 5 prototypes (up to end of January '14). - 5 drivers (A4982) up to 2A - a lot of protections...

Also, look into Logical Level MOSFET's that turn on most of the way at 4.5V or lower. They can cost a little extra each, but are great for being driven by normal logic levels. If you dig around you...

There's a lot of room between the near ms turn on speeds with a weak pull-up resistor and the 10's of ns you might get with an uber driver on the FET. I would not cost reduce the series gate resistor...
View ArticleMK2 Heat Bed Wiring- stand alone
I've had a CubeX for about 9 months because I didn't think I had the skill to build my own and I wanted a huge build volume. I enjoyed more success with the prints than most have, I got lucky from...

QuoteCefiar I'd also considered replacing the 12V reg with a 9V reg (7809). This still gives a reasonable voltage for gate drive (much further up the drive elbow than 5V), and is more than adequate...

Hi It seems like people are managing to get the Arduino Mega to switch their PSU's on and off using software and connection to the PS_ON pin. This requires the Arduino to run off the +5VSB rail,...

I have also experienced the same problem. So far i have been able to narrow it down to a tiny wire exposed on the thermistor. Apparently it shorts and then causes the error. when I separate the...

Hi, A while back I had a problem very similar to what is described here, only with me it was both my heated bed, and my nozzle. I put a fan on my MOSFETs, and the problem went away. Today, I noticed a...

The first thing I would check is to see if the power supply has decided to put out 18V instead of 12V. I'd also make sure the issue is not the terminal blocks heating up (they smell like plastic)...

Given that this thread has been dead for almost a year and a half, I suspect they have moved on to other issues. Shorts are indeed the most common reason for intermittent MAXTEMP errors.

The Mega is fired up running on USB power from the computer. You tell it to turn on the power supply. USB current does this. Once the power supply comes up, the Mega switches over to the +12 supply....

As soon as somebody decides to do PWM at a KHz sort of rep rate, you will very much *not* want a FET that takes 100's of us to turn on and 10's of us to turn off. That's the sort of thing you will get...

You need some sort of electronics to: 1) Read the thermidor temperature 2) Set a control point for the bed 3) Adjust the power into the bed to hold that control point. There are some pretty good >...

I now have a real Arduino Due and I'm seeing problems with the serial port. It would not work right at 250000 baud. The board->host transfer is all right, but host->board is broke, with lots of...
