So my board died on me today at least i think, It was homing the z and half way it said lost connection and windows made the disconnected sound. after waiting a few seconds i power cycled the unit but no windows sound.
So i checked all the cables even the resistance to make sure the connector did not flake out, all was fine.
I tried several pcs, desktop running 7, desktop running xp, and lap top running xp and laptop running 7 and alll usb ports (rear ports from 2.0 to 3.0) even power cycled and unplugged it many times in hope that doing the same thing would fix my problem.
Did all of the above with everything detached but the 12v power and usb, same results.
So then i took off the 12v power and shorted the usb power jumper and tried again, still nothing
I then removed the bootloader jumper and hit the reset trying to get it to connect via the bootloader, again nothing.
So i went and checked every voltage all read fine,4.99v to 5v, checked them against the schematic, tested to make sure the reset pin worked all is fine.
Have not probed the crystal yet any advice on that?
Thinking maybe the z motor driver died in a way that is preventing it from booting?
Is it possible the bootloader got corrupted and that's whats causing to no longer be seen?
i have a full hackerspace open to me with tools so let me know of any tests i could run.
