Help with 4PI / Reup

Hello everyone,

I am making a 4PI / Reup board and have sourced most of the parts but there are one or two discrepancies in the BOMs and I wanted to ask if people either have an opinion or direct knowledge that could help me make a decision on which parts to choose. I have the BOM generated from the eagle file and also a BOM that Kliment (the designer of this board) says was used for production. So my queries are listed below, please feel free to comment on as many or as few as you can:

1) Stepper Vref resistors – R11 in eagle BOM is 33k, but 6.8k in Kliment BOM. This resistor is in series with the AD5206 digital trim pot but neither BOM confirms what resistance AD5206 to use. I assume it should be a 10k trim pot and even with this, I still think the eagle BOM value of R11 (33k) is more suitable as this would limit the current to motors to around 2A (please someone confirm my maths). With 6.8k and a 10k trimpot, with 3.3V, I calculate you could send ~5A to the motors which is bad! I haven’t looked in to the firmware yet so does anyone using 4PI no how the current is set in the firmware, as the calculation used would give more clarity on the values used by Kliment.

2) Inductors L1, L2 – Eagle BOM says 10uH, Kliment BOM says 10uH with 600 mA, but then the part quoted is 10 nH. The part on Kliment’s board is smaller than the pad and looks more like a 10 nH inductor but does anyone know the correct value, or can you comment on how important this value is? It seems strange to me that being 3 orders of magnitude out would not cause issues?

3) MOSFET U$4 (the one in the bottom left corner for the heatbed – Eagle Bom says “CSD17301Q5”, Kliment BOM says “IRFH6200” – Both parts look like they would be compatible (have same pinout and similar specs), but just to be safe, I would like to use the same part as Kliment in case there are any subtle differences. Anyone with a 4PI board handy that could tell me what the markings are on the part so I can tell which one to go with? (the photo’s on the web, are not clear enough to see this detail).

4) Please, if you are a 4PI user, let me know, I would like to know a few people to contact if I run in to trouble getting it setup and running.

5) Does anyone know how to get in touch with Kliment? Does he use this forum?

6) Does anyone know why when I search for Kliment or 4PI or Reup in this forum I get zero results? Surely I am not the first person to utter either of these names?

Many many thanks to anyone who reads or replies.
