Kliment lurks on the irc://freenode/reprap channel he isnt very vocal these days, but will normaly reply if you leave him a message via the bot (ask in channel about leaving a message via the bot)
The 4pi was ahead of its time, and sadly not picked up by the general comunity. I suspect the cost was just to high, considering people complane that their $30 ramps board is to expensive...
If you read the dedication on the board... you will see "Dedicated to #reprap @ freenode", so most of the talk was limited to that medium.
