Reprapdiscount Smart Controller Problem

I have been using my Reprapdiscount Smart Controller since last May with no difficulties. During a print, the display changed (see attached image) to where the first two lines are fine, but the last two lines show blanks for the first 8 characters and white blocks for the last 12 characters. The menu still functions normally (except you have to know or guess what you cannot see). The SDCard part also functions normally. I swapped the two cables and the problem persisted.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?
