Honestly, the software side of open-source makes me want to pull my hair out with all of the different licenses out there.
That's why we currently pretty much ignore licenses by handling them all equally. They aren't enforcable anyways. "Sources sufficient to make a copy" is simple enough to be understood by everybody.
Still I can't get rid of the impression that chinese vendors simply don't grok what's all this open source fuzz about and recognize RepRap as sort of a sales channel similar to Alibaba, eBay or whatever. It looks like they simply can't understand people have other things in mind than just buying. Like understanding a design, learning from it, adjusting it for personal needs. Not sure about how to show them the beauty of DIYing, making and collaboration.
