You're power supply should be fine. Even if the manufacturer was a little generous with it's rating there's still plenty margin of safety. A 15 amp automotive fuse should not be causing the issues...

Some of those pins are easily removed from the connectors, while others are not. It just depends on what connectors are on those extension cables you got.
