Re: Reprap Arduino Due Shield project - looking for helping eyes.
Thanks for your input. It certainly helps. I strongly agree with you about the connectors. Even with a hard made mega shield that I am using now I am using the phoneix-screw connector, or for all the...

Im also interested in this project. I also believe having the stepper motor drivers on the board is not a good idea, I'm building a combined CNC/3d printer, and need a lot more current support,...

I thought mainland US and UK is the only part of the world still using imperial widely, apparently I am wrong. It's correct that without the drivers on board, everything will fit much more easily....

... I now have two comercial XY-galvo-heads with the electronics and will try to reactivate them or use them with my own drivers, so interested in this development too :D One of the setups is from an...

And again... echo: cold extrusion prevented I'm going to be really anxious when my new hotend arrives!

Does anyone know if it would be possible to make your own heat bed for the print glass? I was thinking using a piece of aluminum with some form of high resistance wire or just a bunch of resistors...
View ArticleRe: Heat bed
i have seen more than a few ways to do it, i think power resistors were one of the more popular ways. i would love to be able to afford a milled aluminium plate

Viktor, Nice! Where did you happen upon that equpment? I'd be interested to see pictures of the scan head and any accompanying lenses... It's been a while since I've worked around a "professional" SLA...

new equipment arrived :) so initial tests with ramps 1.4, tb6560 and for now 12Vpower supply at 2A, everything is working good out of the box :) tried it at 8 microsteps, working good. ordered and...

My vote for onboard drivers... I think having on-board drivers (or an option for on-board drivers) is a great idea for "the masses". There will always be certain edge cases (as identified above) where...

Hi guys, bought a new hotend, but I'm afraid to turn it on because I don't know which Thermistor I have! I have a table with Ohm values, but I have NO idea how to convert or compare this to anything...

Ok, so I have ordered this kit from ebay [www.ebay.co.uk] I've also ordered some small laser modules for testing. I've been looking around the web and found a few interesting things. The DIY laser...

Normally its much easier if you have any kind of method to read real hotend temperature. But i think i remember you said you dont, so here comes a way based on what you linked. The thermistor table is...

For that addon try beta is 3950 and common electronics use r1=0 and r2=4700 ohms. At r0 you can put 100k and at t0 25. However this doesnt guarantee your temps will be real unless you double check them.

I am even more confused, because with my older hotend I have measured the voltage to be around 11.2V Is this because my new hotend has two resistors? Am I correct? Is that why there is two holes on...
